Crosslinks Foundation and ISEC (Institute for Social and Economic Change) organized a webinar to discuss the final findings of a research project that evaluated the efficacy of various fiscal, behavioral and informational interventions to boost higher participation and enrollments in Government of India’s APY scheme. The project, which was supported by SIDBI’s Poorest States Inclusive Programme (PSIG), was implemented over two years as a Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) in 200 villages of Jagatsinghpur and Balikuda blocks of Jagatsinghpur district in Odisha state. The webinar shared an overview of the project, study methodology, lessons learned and policy recommendations with senior officials from SIDBI and DFID, key stakeholders from banks and community organizations, business correspondents, local government agencies and microfinance institutions.
